About Covid
In Sweden there are no longer any restrictions related to Covid-19. We will therefore not call for social distancing. However, facial masks and hand alcohol will be available at the SIS office.
If you need to take a PCR test before returning to your country, you can turn to any of the following healthcare facilities:

Delegates to ISO/TC 61 are welcome to attend the welcome reception, where you will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow colleagues. Adjacent to the welcome reception, a poster session will be on display with PhD students from the department of polymer technology at the Royal Institute of Technology. To the welcome reception we expect the attendance of the Head of department, Industry and Construction at Swedish Institute for Standards, SIS, Ms. Lisa Almkvist.

Visit to Site Zero
Date and time: Tuesday, 26 September 2023, 07:30 - 19:00 (UTC+02:00) Europe/Stockholm
SIS is planning a visit for the delegates of ISO/TC 61 to Site Zero, owned and operated by Swedish Plastic Recycling, for a guided tour around the world’s largest and most modern facility for plastic recycling. The facility will be able to recycle all plastic packaging from Swedish households and make plastics circular – completely without any CO2 emissions.

Agenda: Starting with a light meal at the venue, the visit will include a tour of the facility and is expected to finish at 16.30, whereupon a bus will take you back to Stockholm.

Banquet at The Vasa Museum
Date and time: Thursday, 28 September 2023, 19:00 - 22:00 (UTC+02:00) Europe/Stockholm
The Vasa Museum is a maritime museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Located on the island of Djurgården, the museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th-century ship that has ever been salvaged, the 64-gun warship Vasa that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628. The Vasa Museum opened in 1990 and is the most visited museum in Scandinavia. To the banquet we expect the attendance of the ISO President, Ms. Ulrika Francke.

Departure time: All TC-delegates that have expressed their wish to join the Banquet are expected to find their way to the Vasa Museum.
Agenda: After a guided tour of the Vasa, which will take about one hour, we walk to the restaurant and eat a two-course dinner.
